Design Steel Reinforcement

The steel reinforcement design includes General Options that apply to all foundation types, pedestals, and beams and also specific options for each type.

• Minimum Required Area (Smin): Define the minimum required steel area for the design.
• Foundation Cover (Fc): Define the concrete cover for foundation reinforcement.
• Pedestals Cover (Pc): Define the concrete cover for pedestal reinforcement.
• Pedestal Hooks: Set the pedestal hook orientation to Inward or Outward.
• Available Bars: Define the available bar diameters for the design. Can be defined in mm or bar number (e.g., #4, #5, etc.).
• Spacing Step: Define the spacing increment for reinforcement bars during design.
• Use Top Layer: Enable this option to include top reinforcement layer for the item.
• Use Minimum Area: Enable this option to ensure that the minimum reinforcement area is provided as per design codes.
• Rho min: Define the minimum reinforcement ratio to be used in the design.
